Which Palace cinemas are wheelchair accessible?
Our cinemas are wheelchair accessible, with step-free entry to reserved accessible seating.
How do I book accessible seating?
Wheelchair-accessible seating can be selected online when booking, or in person at the box office. These seats are set aside for patrons with genuine needs.
Are all cinemas wheelchair accessible?
Almost all - the exceptions are Cinema 1 & 2 at Palace Brighton Bay and Cinema 8 at Kino Cinema. In rare cases, technical issues or construction may also temporarily affect accessibility.
Where can I check the latest accessibility information?
See the Cinema Details section on our cinemas page, or contact your local cinema's on-site team for the most current information (find site contacts here).
Are assistive devices available?
Palace Cinemas offers a range of assistive devices at participating venues to ensure all guests can enjoy the full cinema experience.
Audio Description (AD)
AD headphones provide a narrated commentary track describing on-screen action and visual detail for guests who are blind or have low vision. Available on request where the distributor has provided the film with an AD track. Look for the AD label on session times to check for availability.
Closed Caption (CC)
CC devices display dialogue on a personal screen. Available on request at the box office, where the film's distributor has supplied a closed caption compatible exhibition format. Look for the CC label on session times to check for availability.
Hearing Loop & Headphones
Hearing loop systems transmit audio directly to compatible hearing aids. For guests who do not use hearing aids, headphones and a personal amplification device are available to enhance sound clarity. Availability may vary by screen. Look for the Hard of Hearing label on session times to check for availability.
Availability
Device availability varies by venue, session, and the exhibition materials supplied by the film's distributor. We recommend contacting your local Palace Cinemas team in advance to confirm accessibility options for your chosen film.
